The REACH Network is proud to publish its 2025 Annual Meeting report.
The REACH Network’s Annual Meeting for 2025 was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
This year again, it proved to be a key date in the Network’s calendar, drawing participation from all six member countries, along with key technical partners and donors.
Testament to the Network’s work, and to the dedication of its country teams, 102 participants attended in person with a further 59 joining the two-day meeting virtually.

Highlights
The Annual Meeting was the Network’s opportunity to celebrate achievements and to reflect together on priorities for the year to come.
Highlights celebrated at the meeting included:
- significant progress in treatment delivery, and
- program expansion, system strengthening, and increased political engagement.
Some 17 million children received azithromycin in 2025 through REACH-supported programs, and national mass drug administration (MDA) implementation continued to scale up across several countries.
Surveillance systems for mortality, morbidity, and antimicrobial resistance were enhanced, and there was increased visibility and commitment from national ministries and partners.
Post-meeting survey
Following the Annual Meeting, a survey was distributed to members and participants to seek their feedback on the meeting itself and other key areas for the REACH Network.
Engagement with this was also encouraging, with responses to the anonymous questionnaire, intended to improve and streamline the Network’s operations, eliciting responses from Ministries of Health, partners and REACH Network members.
What did members appreciate?
Respondents considered country presentations, roundtable discussions, opportunities for peer-to-peer learning, and in-person engagement with partners as the most beneficial aspects of the 2025 REACH Network Annual meeting.
Learning from each other
Participants emphasized the importance of sharing experiences related to challenges faced during programme implementation.
What can be improved?
Areas for improvement suggested by respondents included more timely confirmation of meeting venues, earlier distribution of agendas, and the allocation of additional time for technical deliberations.

Serving members’ interests
The REACH Network is proud to have such committed and engaged members and will continue to do its utmost on their behalf, so that they can continue to carry out their life-saving missions, and to learn from each other, in solidarity and mutual support.
